Welcome to the neighborhood NC - it's great to have you here.

Gang - FWIW - I count NC as a close friend. We've been trading jabs, stories and friendship now for several years since he wandered in over at F650.com.

He's an adventure rider of the highest caliber and I'm proud to call him a friend.

Man, with kind words like that, I'm doomed to go nowhere but down now .

In all seriousness, thanks for the kind welcome, Gerry!

It's good to be here. Maybe I'll finally make a contribution to the motorycling world by helping build the 950/990 FAQs.

Then again, maybe I'll just yammer on about nothing with the occasional 'muy macho' photo for dramatic punctuation .

You rode over that log bridge in the background only to fall over on the easy stuff

Well put...says the board's chief BMW basher.

Same reasons pushed me into a KTM and I'm never happier.

Mark,

Adventure Workshop were really good, answered all my emails and kept me advised. It took about 8 days door to door and the price was comparable to the TT one.

The killer was the Post Office!
Damm!

Parcel Force were holding me to ransom!

Import duty 7.55
V.A.T. 29.43
Clearance fee! 13.50

Total 50.48!!!

When I got the seat from the states it was marked " Repaired second hand seat" and I didn't get done for tax!

Order your skid plate, but get them to throw a can of Nitromors at it before packing it. "It's second hand, honest!"

Thanks very much for the reply Robin. I'm getting so fed up with TT that I think I'll cancel the order and order from AW, I've ordered small parts from them before and they have been great.

Cheers

There obviously needs to be a type of secondhand-ising treatment for all items sent by post to the UK!! The Uk has clearly demonstrated yet again that it is a nation of shopkeepers!
