Thx a lot. The headlamps are from litlle sister LC4 Adventure. It was quite tricky to get them in. Next time I'd take aftermarket parts from Hella, which a lot of German Crushers did.

Ok, I'll bite...
Here's mine at Trois Riviere...
I got locked in that parking lot while I was taking pictures ... had to sneak by the liftgate to get out ...

Well, I had to build the mask by myself, old fashioned with a mold of gypsum coated with epoxy & glass fiber. Took me some hours and of course the release agent did not work so the mold was destroyed.

But you have the screen
Question is now can we get a mould off it!
Nice work and nice bike. Seat also apes the Italian ones on the race bikes without the bit cut out for the grab handle. And you actually got hold of an Orange rear fender. Cheers

taking a chance?
Thanks for posting, LITO. Indeed black excels modified to take tubless tires are in the queue, my front rim won't survive another baviaanskloof boulder bashing.
This paint job was a bit like a birthday present, i'd been waiting to ruin the silver which was starting to bore me, but despite dropping the beast 5 times (admittedly at very slow speeds) it looked like the original paint job was hard as nails and here to stay. So i asked my favourite German master mechanic to get it painted during the 28,000km service, essentially telling him only that i wanted a black and orange finish as i couldn't decide between the two, trusting the detail in the design to the painter. It could have gone horribly wrong, instead, I couldn't be happier with the end result. ![]() (The green flecks are in the orange paint too, much like the standard KTM orange.)
