I know what you mean. The tailpack and gas tank kind of looks like a milk crate if you squint.

I had a guy hear me but not see me the other day, as he was in a ravine below. He came to check out the fellow KTM on the ridge but his first impression was "WTF, that's a KLR. How did he get it to sound like a KTM?"

Nah. KLRs are DDR (Dog Dick Red).

I guess he's all set for the next time he butchers Bambi.

Sacrilegious? Maybe .... but I like it.

First off road ride of 2013 down the Klienschmidt into Hells Canyon April 4, 2013:

Yesterday testing the new headlight mod before final detailing and paint to windscreen. I'll post more on this light mod in the "What did you do to your KTN today" thread

I think this is an awesome transformation! Porsche Guards Red is one of the best shades of red out there, and a great choice for the bike!

Referring to this as a "KLR" is ridiculous! The KTM 950/990 Adventure is an immediately recognizable bike regardless of color. The OP is modifying his bike to suit his tastes, what is wrong with that?!

Personally, I think that it is a fabulous job well done. Gongrats on the new bike!!

Agreed, I don't see it. Looks cool in red... And the large KTM graphic certainly helps. And if it fools a few, well then it's a bad a$$ sleeper!

P.s. I sold my KLR for a 950. Never looked back.
