My wife has the same problem. That's OK. It jut means that she won't be stealing my bike when I am not looking.

We don't have the breathtaking views that some of you do here in SW Ohio, but we make do with some adventuring.

I think it was because the original wheel builder did'nt angle the spoke holes properly, stressing the spokes at the nipples.

If you look closely you should be able to see it here.



When I rebuilt the wheel I re-drilled the spoke holes to get rid of the stress on the spokes like this.



The rebuilt wheel came out like this, and has been fine ever since.
