Hi BAZZER450,

Your pics are fantastic, I love the one with the woman behind your katoom

I would like to know where did you find those additional fuel tanks at the rear of your bike, those attached to your pannier. That would really help me. You can pm me.

Didnt like Nam Brew,Drank my share of Taffel and Hansa though
we started in Walvis Bay (we unloaded our bikes from the Container)
made our way up the coast then to Rhino Camp then to Ongongo camp,Epupa falls ,Caprive Strip ,Victoria Falls down to Botswana Naxi pans (via the old cattle trail)
out to Windhoek Namibia (and Joes Beer house !!! ) then back to Walvis Bay. 6400km's 16 days. Fantastic Ride.

Power

Hi Everyone. Hope you can see and read the attached dyno reading.
My riding partner Max, has just had his 990 back from a little breathing on by those good guys down a HM Racing. Some secret head work and a modded power commander is now giving the beast... 115 BHP AT THE REAR WHEEL
Mother save us. There is a box load of Bling to be installed as yet. once this is in place I will post a few shoots for you all.
Cheers RC.

Some nice photos there mate. How did the 950 handle the trip? I'm heading down to Morocco in March for 3 weeks, so I'd be interested to hear your comments.

I agree... fantastic photos... should be a ride report though as i'd loike to hear some commentary to go with a few of the pics...

Sorry chaps no torque graph to hand will try to sort it out. As to the cost.
That is the only drawback........2k. and it was away for about six weeks
but don't forget that a lot of testing work was needed as the 990 Adv engine is quite different to the super duke. which HM have had great success racing. To tell the truth we ( Max/ Myself ) dont know the full details of the work carried out, other than as I said in the posting lots of head reshaping and a modded power commander.
Riding the beast is the best part. No snatching from the fi. on all throttle openings it is as smooth as a carb 950, short shifting it just drives, no bogging or hessitation. If you have a 990 you will now how annoying it can be, if you remember I sold mine as it got on my nerves after the 950.
Anyway that has all gone away. Fuel consumption is an unkown as yet,
does Max care....I don't think so. Does the beast pick the front off the ground in third, just by giving it a tweek of throttle........very nice! . When I've ridden it some more I will let you know how the overall package works
More stuff later. maybe some Youtube..... Ive just got some bullet cams.
Cheers RC

Don't know where you got you're 990 from or how old it was but if you had bogging down and hesitation when short shifting then I would've handed it back and said sort it

The very last thing mine has is hesitation The fuelling on mine is great everywhere, except on/off idle as discussed in other threads, however that is now fully sorted with the G2 cam, cost 70quid
