But Wellington's line? In Portugal

The lines of Torres Vedras, two defensive lines built in secret between the atlantic and the Tagus river north of Lisbon built between Nov 1809 and Sep 1810, over 1000 guns and nearly 70,000 men garrisoned there. Belived to be the most effective military fortifications ever built in military histroy. Built to repulse the third French invasion of Portugal during the peninsular war.

Have a look on the net loads of information, most of the fortifications are still there and worth a vist, if you have any interest in Napoleonic histroy.

Not Rally as in Motoring event but rally or treffen as in camping party get pissed weekend, http://www.motoclubefaro.pt/ how can anyone not have heard of Faro? 60,000+ people there the night that Iron Maiden played on the main stage

A week or so touring down there through Portugal, a weekend of bikes, beer, music, women, and beach, then back on the bike a quick 3 day blast to get home again in time for tea toast and tiffin ;-)

Three days to London? I got there in 9 hours from Heidelberg and that was on the two hour ferry from Donkirk (sp?).

Funny episode from the great american sit-com Arrested Development - different people throughout the episode keep referring to Portugal being in South America. I think the teenage son is the only one that knows it is in Europe.
Hope I didn't mess up anybody's geography.
