My wife (the Mad Brazilian) was out of town this weekend so I did some riding on Saturday and then cleaned the bike on Sunday. A little Simple-Green, wipe/rinse/ride to help the drying process. 30-minutes tops. I like a clean bike & it's a good way to force a quick inspection.

Guess that puts me pretty low on the advrider-KTM950 food chain but the silver bike sure is 'purtty' now.

My routine is either Simple-Green or preferably Zep orange citrus degreaser. I spray down the bike with water, spray a liberal amount of cleaner over the WHOLE bike, let sit for a few minutes and then hose off. I don't even use a rag.

Next, I get out the leaf blower and give the bike a blow-job , making sure I get all the nooks and crannies.

Next, I'll use about a 1/4 can of silicone spray (Kim has a large inventory ) and spray everything that's metal - chain, swingarm, engine, radiators, kickstands, levers, forks, wheels, etc.

The final stage is to spray Pledge (it's gotta be the orange Pledge since it's a KTM ) onto a soft, clean rag and wipe down all the painted surfaces. Total time is about 20-30 minutes and it keeps it looking showroom-new.

What a great idea I have always used my compressor and It runs out of air and takes way to long with that tiny little outlet.Brilliant idea I think I'll keep it

Yeah Pledge works great! I used to use on my boat all the time till I SOLD it! 2nd best day ever owning a boat!
