Heh, thanks.
No, i'm not unusual, we are quite the same all of us here, and i think you would be to if your only option in wintertime was to ride on snow and ice
It wasnt a very long ride, I found this site to view the gpstrack:
http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=117453

I hope to get some more pictures in near future.

Is that you with the bike ?

If yes, then it shows that what matters is not the ride, but the rider

Eastern Sierra Adventure Ride

This photo was taken in the Owen Valley on the Eastern side of the High Sierra. Has anyone riden Silver Canyon in the White Mountain near the Owen Valley?

Silver Canyon from the valley up top is a fun ride. Steep switchbacks in some sections and some creek crossings that can get a bit deep. A worthy ride on the big KTM...

I agree, this is a really fun adventure ride with steep switch backs and the creek crossings can get pretty deep. Great ride, and the view from the top of Silver Peak is awesome...
Did you get a chance to walk the grove of Ancient Bristlecone Pine?

Hey dogleg, nice pics.

two questions;

1. how did you get on with breaking the bead when you had your flat?
and

2. how did you manage to ride two bikes at once?

Bob.

For the Scorp (on a '04 rim), I had to break the bead, spoon that side off the rim and then turn it over to break the bead on the other side.

You can use the sidestand or if you keep driving for a few hundred meters after you had your flat the bead will break by itself with the weight of the bike. At least it worked several times for me

I don't even need to break a bead usually except when changing worn out tires and the rear Scorp is a tough one. I converted my 990 to tubeless 10,000 miles ago and if I get a typical flat (nail, screw, etc) I just plug it (plug gun or "'gummy-worm" type) and off I go. Did that to 2 Triumph Tigers and now the 990S.
