Hey Steve,

Yep, that was us. Hope you had a better ride home than us though!

I got a rear flat at speed on the 660 right up near the summit. Got off at the Sugar bowl exit and out of cold, tired, determination rode the flat up Hwy 40 to Donner Ski Ranch and then down 40 to the South Shore of Donner Lake where Trick picked me and the bike up in my truck.

Today I put the bike on the lift to figure out the tire failure (the second in 2 days!) and found that a rear suspension wishbone bolt had backed out about 1/4" which was just far enough to snap one side of the rear suspension links when the suspension compressed!

The tire was user error (I had pinched the tube in the rim lock), but it's kinda scary to think I was doing 75mph up I-80 with a broken suspension link when the tire went flat!

But that's why they call it 'Adventure' riding, right? You should have seen us on the way to Hangtown when Trick lost a beach chair off his Gobi bags and it got sucked into his rear wheel. At speed going up 80, in a construction zone between Jersey barriers on both sides (NO shoulder) and his bike sucks up the chair frame, locks up and slides to a stop in the slow lane! What's left of the chair is still there...

Good times.

Ah, the specs were interesting.

All sorts of 'super most advanced airflow head cooling system' sales talk and a 2 star airflow user rating!

Where you see a 2-star rating?
Id be curious to know what they think has better airflow ...

Ive used it in all sorts of conditions hot sand to cold rain - very versatile.

Klim looks very cool, weird, but cool!
I'm looking at a One Industries Kombat or a Lazer MX7 maybe a Everts replica to match with my orange beast !
Cheers,
J.
