Fantastic pics everyone!
These are some great looking bikes. I don't know specifically waht it is about them, but I love 'em.

Its definatley on my "short list" for my next ride (I'd like to test ride one soon. Mayeb the KTM demo truck will come back to Houston soon)

2 Questions:
1. I know this will spark some debate, but if I were looking used, which should I look at?
The 950 adenture, or the 990 adventure?

2. I noticed in some of the pics, some of you guys have a dirt bike style front fender and others have a street bike type. I love the look of the dirt bike fender, is that a standard MX fender? How would one get a MX front fender on an Adventure that came with the street?

Answer 1: 990 - But you are right, that become an endless discussion... (and it's off topic)
Answer 2: You can mount several fender typs, for example the fender of the KTM 950 SE. Touratech offers also one...
...if you want to have more information about the fender, send me a pm...

sorry everyone for OT

And 990's have taller OEM front fenders than 950's and often don't need the high fenders

I have been looking forward to posting in this thread w/ my own update for quite some time. This evening, the dream of owning this wonderful bike has become reality.

Here it is at the dealer (cell phone picture)

Here it is back home w/ its stable mate.

Question Showing Off Fuel Tanks

Tried to upload pix, but the 'attachments' says the one picture is it--so how do you guys upload multiple pictures? Anyway, shows right side of bike with tank, Woody's Wheels in 19 & 17, Renazco Racing seat, cut down screen, wide pegs, and Wings exhaust on Blackdog 2:1, and Blackdog crash plate. Also some crash bars with fog lights.

To do the holders for the standard tanks, started with cardboard patterns, transferred to aluminum, cut, bent & tig welded. Actually wasn't that hard. If someone will instruct on adding pix, I'll be happy to do so.

Hmm, it's not the first time my "tongue in cheek" humour (thanks Mr. Reliable, at least one inmate got it) was misinterpretted. And yes that is what it was.

I personally don't believe there is anywhere in the world "civilized" or otherwise where beauty cannot be found, we are usually in too much of a rush to see it. Places like NZ, not unlike CANADA where I am from, require a lot less effort to see it as natural splendor is pretty much everywhere you look.

Sorry you took my comments the wrong way. As an aside: to all the iPhone using, Starbucks drinking people whose ovaries are all covered in sand and also missed what I perceived to be humour in my comment, I hope you too can find it in your hearts to forgive me.

The dreaded red X. Sorry I haven't posted a pic my self, so I'm of no help there. However I like your attached pic, nice job on the kolpin set-up. I like your avatar too.
