Took my first on-road snow ride on studs today.

This is what road conditions were. Fresh, light snow, newly plowed and icy underneath. temps around 20f.

I had forgotten that they don't plow this wooden bridge too closely so that they don't tear up the wood. When I hit it there was about 6" of snow and it was like hitting really soft sand. Instant front-end swaps, but somehow I rode through it. The snow on top of the bridge rails shows how much fresh we got in the last 24 hours. Those posts are 12" x 12"s so it looks like about 24" of new.

The hardest part was getting out of my uphill driveway. I had driven on the snow throughout the day and it had turned seriously slick but the bike was predictable through these power slides and after about 5 tries (launching out of the dry garage) I made it up to the road.

Playin with the Sporty stuff. Silver Busa has a radial exhaust mod. Runs pretty good.

It was snowed in at the time but I have a new orange S model and will be doing a trip from the San Louis vally on dirt roads on through lake city hitting black bear, and Imogene along the way, Just waiting for things to thaw out. Maybe June
