While you're soaking up the sun and riding in T-Shirts we've got this! I've had the new bike a week now and I can't get it out of the drive for the ice.

Transferring some old photos to the new computer, I ran across this one. Taken in January '05 when I was on my way from Florida (where I bought my used '04S) to California (where I live).
Work was calling, so I put in some long days. I wanted to do 1000 miles my second day, but I stopped at 980. It was dark, I was tired and some guy in front of me ran over a mattress in the road, and the metal box spring got caught under his van. I rode through a "poof" of white stuffing and then was being showered with sparks as he dragged the box springs. My goal of 1000 miles suddenly seemed less important and a cold beer seemed more important, so I stopped. Photo taken the next morning in New Mexico. (The bike came with an extra front wheel and two tires, and while smart people would ship them home, I rode them home.) No comment on the open face helmet in 28 degree F weather, but lets just say I have more sense when it comes to dirt versus street. Awesome trip though and even more awesome bike!

That is a sweet S Larry. I checked out your blog and laughed my ass off when your wife called you an elitest for not liking Harley's. That's what my wife calls me for the same reason!
