Hey y'all, I just picked this up today:

Thanks patl and Farscape for helping push me over the edge and make this decision!!!!!!!!! We haven't had significant rain in weeks and all of the sudden, the day I buy this bike, it's a torrential downpour!!! No matter, I rode home anyway without rain gear and smiled the whole way!!!!!

Just finished fixing a bunch of issues and got the bik eback on the road, running smoother and stronger than it's ever been

\

Made a mistake later that day and glanced at the gps for a moment too long. Looked up and was presented with a decommisioned berm in front of me (and couldnt see what was on the other side). Didn't even notice the road going right (turns out it dropped off quickly into deep sand with rain ruts, would have been undoable in anything other than 1st gear). So I laid it down. 60 km/h to a dead stop on my shoulder. Moral of the story? The big twin is tougher than me, it recieved a few minor scratches and I recieved bruised ribs and messed up muscles in my shoulder, chest and back

Roger that. Like my buddy says, I'm tired of learning lessons, I'm ready to teach some!

Glad you and the bike are ok!

I am sorry to hear about the shoulder, bumps and bruises but please tell me you did not damage that Italian screen. I know what it would cost to replace.

No worries, other than some more "character" scratches the bike is one piece.

Carbon tanks guards really worked
