990 on the track
Hello.
I'm new on here, but just wonder how many of you have taken your Adventure on track day? Here's me at Franciacorta, Italy, standard tires. I always wondered if knee down riding was possible on this beast....and the answers: YES! |

Awesome shot! I loved doing track days on my 950. Just bought a 990 Dakar last night, pick it up tomorrow. I'd love to hit the track with the new bike, but I'm afraid I'll scratch that beautiful paint job!! (Just kidding...)
The hardest time I had on the track with my KTM was my outer leg wasn't long enough to stay on the pegs when I'd slide out of the saddle in corners. I'd end up with my knee hovering just above the ground on the inside and my outer boot flailing in the air, completely off the peg! More a function of my short inseam than a problem with the bike, I guess. Quote:

Thanks. Woody does an excellent job. I love the feel of the bike w/ the 19" front and 17" rear. There are SO many tire choices for me now.

A post from a stranger
Hey, guys!
Excuse me for not being a 950/990 owner... I'm a stranger posting in this thread , but have found this, thought it would be good to post it here... Simple and logical as is, how many of us actually figured out this idea???? Cheers! <object height="390" width="640"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QdIUO2yS3VA&rel=0&hl=es_ES&feature=player_embedded &version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" height="390" width="640"></object> . .
