Just as I was getting ready to give the owner a deposit and plan my trip, I found 2 brand-new ones for sale... a 2011 (non-ABS) here in Denver at Fay Myers and a 2011 (ABS) at Williamsville Competition in Holland, New York. Fay Myers wasn't interested in my (IMO, reasonable) offer, but Al at Williamville was. In the end, the shipping and taxes killed Al's deal and I opted to pull the trigger on the used 2009 (pictured)... flying out tomorrow morning to pick it up.

But, if anyone is serious about a brand-new 2011 990 Adventure, call Al... damn, the guy is really willing to make deals on KTMs still in their crates!

I will never buy a bike from Fay Myers, they never are willing to negotiate on already high starting prices. Their parts department is good though.

I agree... they like to talk about low prices, but when it comes down to it, they'd rather finance bikes at high retail (to suckers who really can't afford the payments) rather than move a little to close a serious buyer with cash in hand. Fuck... I was practically WAVING cash in their faces.

Anyhoo... what about service? Did you ever have your KTM serviced there? Any recommendations for independent shops (Denver west side?) for reliable KTM service?

If Erico Motorsports is still around I would try them. Never heard any negative about them and always had good experiences.

This front fender came with the bike. Seller told me to not loose it ever, after I asked why, he sayd: it cost about 1000,- eur
But anyway it shall be possible to buy this fender from KTM and it shall be the original rally replica fender.
Good luck with local dealer!

We've not all got personal mechanics to work on the bike

And it's North Africa this year not Europe
