Ah, the ol XR 80, loved that little bike. Didn't you turn that into a pit bike?

I am actually heading up to see the old man this weekend to try and convince him to go to the vintage races up at Road America this July and spend a few days afterwards riding around WI. or MI.

You should see some of the other shots Geek (and others) have of it as you come down a bit and start around that corner! I'm not normally afraid of heights, but I don't think I'll be trying Black Bear on my 990 any time soon... may hike it, though.

When I can bring the 990 down that in one piece, without tipping it over, and while keeping my undies clean and dry, I'll know I've truly become a mountain motorcyclist.

BTW: Do you have another shot of that which shows the waterfall and ledge a bit better? Isn't there something like a 5,000 ft drop-off right there?

Look what followed me home....

2006 KTM 950 Adventure S, just sitting there collecting dust at a dealership in Vermont. Previous owner had only logged a couple thousand miles in the last few years!! On it's way to Colorado and a life of adventure...

On a side note, I'll be selling the Jesse Panniers and Rack (I don't think they were ever used) as soon as it gets to my house. The right one has a slight dent from the previous owner dropping the bike. Figure $900 or BO plus shipping in the CONUS for the full setup! PM for details or look for flea market posts in a couple weeks!!
