Yeah but... It's all those loose pieces that look kind of scary to me.

If you ride up it do you have to go back down? Or can one find a good excuse to go another way back.

The steps are strictly one way down only. Once you enter them you cannot turn back. There is a ranger on an atv issuing tickets to violators

Just awesome! One more question, can you clean it or do you have to dab. Might be kind interesting for us inseam challenged riders on big, tall, heavy bikes. Thanks Geek. Sweet photos as usual.

Yeah, I know the Mefo would be great there, but it's a long haul there and back so I'm thinking that 2 tires would be needed to get the trip done.Figured the mefo would allow lots of pavement and dirt to get down, then 908 for while we're there and mefo to get home. This is near Denver no? So 3400km round trip plus ripping around and exploring too, me figures it's a 2 tire trip. Changing out my 908 this week and it has 1500kms on it. It's almost a slick down the center now with large chunks missing and gouges everywhere. LOVE THIS TIRE EATING MONSTER!!

Or two TKC80's would do it - right down the middle.

It is not near Denver - unless you consider 7 hours of driving "near"

Never mind. Found it. So it's actually farther. Almost 4000k round trip. DEFINITELY need 2 rears for the whole trip. Saw some images of the pass too. Looks gnarly! Gotta check it out maybe next season!
