mmm thanks

I am looking for some feed back on the tar and wet tar particually..

I believe they are a good all rounder, but I suspect the compromise will be in slop off road and when you are up it on the tar twisties....

is that the case? I had a K60 Heidi on my Triumph Tiger on the rear and it was fantastic in both hard packed dirt and dry tar, with a bit more control required on wet tar...

Joe

Yeah that is the Heiednau K60 Scout, 150 Size.

Its brand new so I really can't comment on it so far. Rode some fresh loose gravel last night 2 up and it seemed fine. Handles great on pavement. I previously ran the Dunlop 908RR, and I'm thinking I should have put another one on, but I had this tire so I put it on.

Hey! I carefully chose the location of that sticker to improve mass centralization. The bike really flicks into the turns now...

Ahhhhh, No wonder mine is now nose heavy when getting a little air.

Note to self:
Remove ADH decal from front fender.

I have gotten MANY comments on that little piece of plastic/vinyl though, it gets a laugh thats for sure.

i've been following this thread for almost two years now - getting a 990 was inevitable after seeing everyone's wonderful machines.

first pic of the 2007 990s now that it's mine, just down the road from where i picked it up... at the start of what ended up being an epic 12 hour ride from San Diego to San Jose yesterday.

random question of the day - does anyone know if the newer (lockable) storage compartment between the tanks from the newer 990's (10-12, i think?) are compatible with the 2007 models? ie: would it be a drop-in replacement part, or is the touratech "lock" the only method of locking said compartment?

it's not a drop in replacement. The locking mechanism is a pain to adapt.
The compartment is also a bit smaller.
Nice looking bike!!
