2 weeks old, a few hundred kms and had a chance to try some offroad. Well I certainly had some scary moments in sand!!!! Didnt realise how different big bikes are in sand. Genuinely scary moments. :)
Loved the dirt though and I really started to love the bike as I got more confident, getting a bit loose.
I had a bunch of SLR camera gear to take some photos in the panniers, but forgot one important thing - a memory card!!! So I took these photos on my handy little canon S95.

Might spraypint it over the winter as my mate repairs car bodywork as a job. I wonder if the tank can be spraypainted tough since fueltanks and spraypaint useually don't match. :(
Anyone know if there is a way or technique todo so? The paint chips at the top taprt, a bit on the tank and on the rear side covers. Would like it in the original state as i like the colour scheme. <3
Paint is chipping on my 06 S too. Chips on the glove box, on the upper corner of the left front fairing and some places on the low fender.

Paint has started scratching too but that's not the paint's fault.

They are light duty dry bags for canoe and kayak bought at Mountain Equipment Coop in 35 liters size, 20$ each.

It's their own brand and I doubt you'll find them in Australia but any canoe/kayak dry bag should do. Only problem is they don't have the strap loops found on purpose built motorcycle dry bags so better use more straps/bungees.

Light duty but they seem to hold up well so far, I'm not rubbing them on rocks for fun and they are up, out of harms way. Heavy duty ones a little more expensive.
