Can you show the fuel racks in better detail? I would like to add more range for the long trips, but don't want to go to safari tanks. Your set-up looks pretty good from what I can see of it.

I bought a 2011 990 Adv Dakar recently. No mods except a Leo Vince exhaust.

Mucho gusto.

Truly the perfect shade of patina on this bike.

Really diggin' the Mefo/Heidenau set up too. And the Mefo has more than double the km's that I had on the 908 and its got a lot of tread left as you can see above. Had to replace my front Metzeler in Kelowna and the only shop that could throw one on quickly was the Motorrad there. Got a few looks due to the graphic kit, and one mechanic even joked how big my balls must be to bring it there. I asked if he could refrain from dropping ball bearings into the tire if at all possible. They aren't a true BMW dealer as they also carry Triumph and Ducati. One of the mechanics even had an old Ducati Elefant which was pretty cool.

Hey Beemakilla, could you provide some more info regarding the case you have your GPS in? I am looking for alternatives to the overpriced Garmin motorcycle specific units and am still looking for a suitable weather resistent / vibration reducing solution.

Great pics, by the way. They really make me miss Calgary alot, but Calgary isn't the same for me since it exploded in a mess of poor urban planning and an ocean of SUVs. What I wouldn't give for a Calgary with 750k people, and an Oilers/Flames rivalry that still meant something.

Great unit and solidly built. I agree with your assessment of Calgary, but I live in a community adjacent to Fish Creek Provincial Park and the house is 1.5 blocks away from said park. We don't have through access to anywhere else so if you turn into our area you live here or are visiting someone who does so it feels like a small community which is nice. The sprawl has gotten out of hand though!
