Pics of my FJR with Farkles...
So I finally got a Vstream Windscreen, the PCA rack, and a mount for my gps. I also had to do a little maintenance. Oil, filter, and shaft oil, along with adjusting the idle back up to 1100RPMs and setting up the suspension for my weight and riding style...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I still need to get the V46 GIVI topcase and sort the heated grips out, but otherwise I'm pretty much done with the mods...For now... Mike

That Zcar is one of many I've been involved with over the years.... Owner has all but abandoned it. It's got a 355 chevy in it with a custom T5 (road race internals) and custom rear diff with quaife LSD. Cromoly rollcage (*not a roll bar, a cage) and custom suspension and brakes... I was storing it indoors for him, but ran out of room and it's been outside since late spring. Real shame because it's such a good looking car...

Hey Mike
Looks nice. You might give a 900 rpm idle a try. The lower idle gives no problem with oil pressure, is a lot easier going into gear, and is easier to ride when traffic is at a slow crawl. You can always take it back to 1100.

It had a 900 RPM setting when I bought the bike and it would sometimes stall at stop lights. I plan to get a full service done on the bike over the winter, since it probably was only in the shop for the initial 600 mile service.
I'll get it checked then, and get fresh plugs... I also plan to swap the pipes and tuner in the spring. Mike

Hmmm...2008 FJR. Looks familiar.
![]() The idle should sort itself out after new plugs and possibly synching the throttle bodies. Mine idles perfectly at 900rpm. As far as the heated grips and whatnot, if you need some ideas, take a look at "The Severance Project" thread here. I installed the factory heated grips and they work great. The only other farkle I'd recommend (since most sane people aren't going to add anywhere near the amount of stuff that I did) is an HID upgrade for the headlights. The FJR's lights are good stock...they are great with a 4300k HID upgrade. |
