Goshen Springs is north of Brandon So you are dragging the whole family from North Rankin County down to the campsite?

Took the klx out for a spin today. decided to stiffen the suspension and go to a 13 tooth sprocket. Can't decide if I like the 13 or the 14 better. I will definitely be needing some springs. I think the oversized gas tank, and knobs are in order too. I like it though!

Glad to hear your riding and finding out how you want to set it up!
The D606's work well on the KLX. It just gets squirelly at 60 MPH to about 70, then it settles out again.
I am still working on getting the BRP Setup. Got a Vance&Hines XCR pipe on the way. Got the Uni filter. Got to check to see if Dave's Mods have been done. If not I will be doing those.
I haven't ridden it, waiting until I get the exhaust and mods done.
Got the other necessities done already.

Yah, It's an in progress set up . Springs will be first on the bill, but I'll have to call the company that makes them specifically for the KLX to find out about pricing.

Bike was happy to do 70-75 on the 14, didn't seem to mind 60-65 on the 13, and that's fine with me. The 761's did ok in the gravel, though I typically dislike riding gravel period. I'd prefer dirt and trails. Gravel has always made me nervous. I'm looking forward to hearing tails of your travels on the BRP!

I have just purchased a KLX 250- s...I have lowered it with kouba links,,this changed the geometry of the kick stand,,,.,so I shortened the kickstnd,,,,the bike seems unstable on the kick stand seems like the KS is too close to t he centerline of the bike,,,any one have suggestions or remedy for this problem...I love this little bike it is geared veery low,,,that suits me as i don't do much highway riding....lots of gravel and dirt

Maybe weld a little NUB, where the kickstand goes forward. Like a 1/8", just a tiny spot weld. This might prevent it from going so far forward. That might help get you away from the centerline.

Tires! I never thought about it, but we should have traded the tires out on each bike.

I have not changed the tires. It will be on my list. Both bikes have the same size wheels. They would swap.
