The Aprilia won't fit in the Accent. He will have to put it on a trailer. Accent only gets 28mpg pulling it.
Forks off, rear linkage bolt out and it still won't fit.
We're still going riding both days that weekend.

I rode in FYV today but was not in a parade.

I had 3 close calls and had to shake my finger at two others. They were all cages being way stupid.....

I had no trouble with pirates today & I was wearing shorts & gators.....

AND

I got a pretty girl to sit with me on my bike. (Colleen was OK with it..... he he he )

I am just not seeing the event you are referring to. Maybe I am in the wrong place... That's got to be it cause Doc was there.

I witnessed a traffic accident this morning on my way to work. I called the ASP so they could use my eyewitness account to ticket the correct driver. The trooper said the accident was a hit and run. I so wish I'd gotten the license plate. If he'd pulled out in front of a bike it wouldn't have been pretty.
White Lincoln 4 door land yacht with a 70 year old male driver doesn't narrow things down much in Hot Springs.
He had to have known. It lifted the rear wheels of a Jeep off the ground.

Are there any .gpx routes in this thread or is it all B.S.?

Looking to explore the Ouachita forest based out of Mena for a long weekend.
Would love to find some routes similar to the Arkansas 500 but south of 40 since I'll be riding in from Dallas, land of concrete and big hair.

Would like to ride as much dirt as possible but would like to avoid boulder dodging single track if possible. On a 650 single with a buddy on a 1200GS.

Any hotel recommendations or food stops appreciated as well. We might be camping so any favorite spots to sleep also.

I love AR, you guys are lucky.

It's mostly bs. Nate says he rides a lot, just not with me. Mr. Deliberate rides. I've ridden with him. I ride but nobody seems interested in coming along.
My gps is very old. I don't have a mount on my dp bike so it rarely comes along. No tracks. Printed maps and getting lost at least once every ride.

The wolf pen gap or whatever it is called trail system near Mena was really chewed up by 4 wheel traffic last time I was there. The 1200 rider would not have fun on it.

I just haven't had the occasion of tagging along on one your rides but I will someday, if you'll tolerate me.

that helps thanks. I like your bike Nate! I read your RR from '07 and you might want to get some SW motech crash bars.
Beemer plastic isn't cheap. Did you get flexible turn indicators. One more hit on mine and I need to do the same.

thanks again!

I actually just replaced with an original, that Chain Gang member sent me. I have replaced the low front fender, after blowing a fork seal on a ride in 2011.

This week I received a rear panel to replace the one I broke on this attempted ride home.

Fortunately I've been able to find my parts cheap on fleabay and haven't worried too much about some crash bars. I have about 58K miles on my '06.

Saturday was cold, wet, and miserable. We only rode 65 or so miles.
Sunday was perfect. Dry, clear air and not too many bowhunters. The gas station/restaurant/grocery at Parks is not open Sundays. Lunch at Waldron. Fewer miles than on my solo days, but it was great to spend time with my brother. Once a year is about as often as it can happen since he lives a thousand miles away.

Sounds like you had a great time today, arkansawyer.

I was out in the Poteau Mountains... maybe 25 miles from Waldron?

A buddy of mine and I are leaving East Texas Oct 25 and heading to Arkansas for a few days of riding and camping. We ride KLR's and would like some advice on the best adv riding and camping. We'd also be glad to meet up with some of you locals. Thanks.
