My '75 400 F looked right then and still does. Brought it home in the crate. My friend had the '77 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special

Tour with my dad who had a 550 F at the time. This is in the late 70's

I like elemental bikes, a motor, wheels, the bodywork serves a pourpose.

Triumph Bonnie's, Norton Manx, Honda CB750k0, Yamaha RD/TZ/RZ etc.

Maligned? Yes. One of the best looking UJMs? Also yes, although I prefer the stock length exhaust which has better proportions IMHO
