Garmin NUVI 550 Power Plug
So Ive got two Garmin NUVI 550 units and both have the same issue with the plug in the back of the unit is no longer working. MyVista HCx works just fine off of the plug I have hard wired on my bike it will also work on my laptop. Neither of the 550's will charge or pick up power from the bike and the laptop does not see them. I did get one of the 550 to charge the other day and I have one battery that has a full charge and both units work fine when Ive had the charged battery in the unit so I know its the power plug. Is there a way to fix this myself or am I going to have to send them back to Garmin?
