Any suggestions on good "KLR" tarps? I want a bigger tarp for my Hennessy but all I seem to be able to find is the chi-chi yuppie tarps

I made my own Whoppie Slings. Not expensive at all. Less then $10 in them. Fun to make as well. Directions on the Hammock Forum.

I'm thinking the '$200 hammocks' will have a few more features than your $20 homemade job will have and probably be a lot nicer finish wise too

And while I'm at it ... what's wrong with yuppie tarps? They are lighter, pack smaller and are sized perfectly for a hammock. Get your blue $5 Wallyworld tarp if you want and enjoy but try not to be too condescending

Guide Gear. 12'x12' tarp for about $20.00. Good quality rig, regardless of the price.

I had one but returned it. 12' sides were a bit long for me but quality was OK.

mt magazine a few weekends ago, it was so windy the guys were afraid their tents would blow away, I slept like a baby in the ho made hammock, with the 9x9 guide gear tarp
