Leaving tomorrow for a 8 days in Colorado. Going to ride a little of this and a little of TAT. Have a a 1400 mile loop planned out. Been busy prepping the bike, added some Pelican panniers and a rear rack.
![]() Also replaced the cheap and bad Dennis KIrk turn signals with Some Bike Master LED units, hopefully they are of higher quality. ![]() Big Blocks have been replaced with TKCs. Also replaced the cheap knock off KLR pegs with some real IMS ones. The bike has proved itself I don't mind spending some money on it now.

Interesting link. I don't plan on blowing up the tank anytime soon though. The fuel range was a concern on our Colorado trip, but my son was riding our KLR fuel tanker. If I ran out the KLR could have donated some fuel, thing is, that never came close to happening. Farthest we ever went between fill ups was about 90 miles.

I really like a lot of what you've done with the bike.
I'm curious what you think about the R1 shock spring rate with you extended swingarm? I'm 220lbs & and I will have a 120lb passenger occasionally. Thanks, Buddy
