Mine must be worth about $1500 by now.
I bet you could get 3500 for it pretty easy, how much you want for it? I saw insurance paid $2400 on a wrecked one with 8K miles. You could maybe get $2K for a trade in, maybe 2500 because you got that nice, cushy seat. It ain't worth shineola

I think that guy was asking about your XRLarry muffler, how much you want for that?

I logged in today to ask for tips on rain tires. Thanks for the review on the BT45's, Larryboy. It sounds like you're pretty happy with them so far. Any other suggestions on rain tires from the peanut gallery, or are these pretty much acknowledged to be the best?

Also, dimarquez, if you'd like to sit on my bike and see how it fits ya, you're welcome. We're doing a little bike night this Sunday, Nov. 4th, in Bremerton, and I'll have my bike there. Just a group of local riders - not a club. Let me know if you'd like the details.

You didn't want to try the radial BT023?

No, not enough tread down the center for me.

About the tires, mine cost more, so they're obviously better....I save enough on gas to buy tires and chains. When it's all said and done, I figure I save at least $50 per 1K miles ridden vs 'the old beater.' That's pure profit, hehehe..

So the bike is tucked away for the winter. It's been in the twenties in the morning, and we're getting slushy precipitation. Won't be long til it's actually snowing. But I'm already thinking about spring (it's going to be a long winter...)

I seem to hit a lot of fog. I'd like to put some fog lights on the bike for better visibility, and to combat oncoming traffic light. Doing searches yields a number of choices, but I'm wondering what people here have done?

Originally I was thinking of putting two Trail Tech 35w halogen lights on the forks, but it seems fog lights have a wide, low beam. So their spots might be too narrow, and their floods too tall, unless I pointed them down a fair amount. Dunno if that would be good or not.

Whatever you get, yellow lights are best for fog AND for conspicuity.

Good point. Trail Tech has a few colored covers you can put on their lights. Amber is one, and I'd probably get that.

I am not too into HID and LED for lighting since it's usually too white for my taste. And it's harsh for oncoming traffic. I can't stand being in the path of HID lights. It's pretty popular these days, but I don't get the appeal to it.

I found some Warn lights I might get for my truck. If they don't seem to big, I will try them on the bike in the spring. They have a remote switch, which is nifty. There are also some Hella lights I found that might work well.

There is a nice looking spot on the front fender mount that might be a good place to put the lights. I'll just have to make a bracket. I'm wondering though, if vibration might be an issue.

Funny thing, it's been warm enough to ride the last couple of days. Kinda ironic that I just put the bike away.

I have just purchased a 2012 CBR250R (red) today and I couldn't be happier! It's got a Two Brothers pipe on it - love it! I had a 2011 I sold earlier this year and I really regretted it.
My girlfriend rides with me but thinks the seat is too hard. Does anyone know of someone who makes a good/ comfy passenger seat? I know Corbin makes one but they usually are a little hard as well. Any other company? Thanks!

He's back..got the good color too! So it's all good again
Maybe I thought you would try the Ninja 300, but I suspect the Honda will keep a special appeal
Larry has an 'RMS' that he seems pleased with. Don't know how to get one though GL

But the time spent keeping the rear wheel clean...

Yeah... I just couldn't stay away. The CBR really is a great bike.
Thanks for the info. I will definitely look it up.
