Evidently your panties are still in a twist because Kawasaki isn't importing their BSA clone.

Correctly guessing that bikes that historically haven't sold well aren't going to sell well if reintroduced into a down economy isn't rocket surgery.

Honda comes up with a comparable bike to Kawasaki's best selling model. It should be a good seller for Honda.

Just to add some coal to the fire, while I still love my 05 zx10r and it's ludicrous speed and power, I think I have more fun on my WR250R these days.

More fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slowly holds a lot of truth.

It took me a while to decide to try the 250 but I'm not even considering upping the displacement on it, unless maybe I managed to need a top end rebuild.

If we ever move to tiered licensing for bikes a plus side would be that we could get some cool little bikes. I'd consider a fun, full spec 400, maybe not as my only bike but it would be fun around town or on a trip to some twisties and maybe even for track days.

Last time I went to deal's gap I was going to take my "beater" fzr 600 that I had but it decided not to start when I went to load it so I took the 900rr that I had at the time instead.
600 would have been fun there, and that bike was basically a 400 frame (steel instead of the 400's alum frame) with a 600cc motor.

Another reason I think these 250cc bikes are going to start selling better.... gas prices. Some are predicting $5 a gallon by 2012... hope that prediction doesn't hold, but if it does, I think you'll see more small sporty bikes on the roads... http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/28/f...l-gas-in-2012/

Is that what they call "pointing out the obvious" in your neck of the woods?

I did a double take on the way to work this morning when I passed the first convenience store - Gas is up 10cents just since yesterday. $2.98 a gallon now!

I may have to start working from home more often...

That's a bargain. Regular is $3.19/gal here.

I'll pass.

For sticking a gun to my head I'll destroy your puny little planet.
Its obvious which bike a little fella in a skirt would choose Marvin. No contest. Now a guy who would ultimately have a Ducati as his dream bike, well, I guess we'll never know.

Mostly that's the 'ol pricing up for the holidays thing I beleive.

Then it goes down for a while until they hit us up for summer travel...

But sooner or later it will go up and stay there.

same here. Reg is 3.15..

Imagine, the honda cbr will definatly get upwards of 70mpg, that is good gas savings. Even a regular bike will get 50mpg, but 20 more mpg, that is very VERY good.

just found it.. 16000-mile valve adjustment intervals.. That is insanely higher than the ninjas 7000 mile interval. Incredible. another good thing about the cbr.
Keep in mind too that Honda has designed the CBR so that the camshaft doesn't have to be removed for shim replacement.
