Was that you?

Saw two riders southbound on Cold Spring Rd., about noon on Sep 2. In really really hard rain.

I was the northbound KLR - yellow jacket, white helmet, modulating headlight.

Sure was glad when the rain stopped!

Does anyone know where I could leave the car and small trailer for 2.5 days near Front Royal that would be secure? I was thinking about one of the campgrounds, but it looks like it's prohibited on the Park Service ones.

Hi Don,
My place is about 15mins from the Skyline and you are welcome to park here. I am AT exit 307 on I-81. Safe, secure. [I am the mayor of my neighborhood]

277 to 522S and on the Drive.

Sure was. Hope you got out of the rain soon. I stopped at the general store on Rt 250 -- BBQ, free WiFi, and a 100-mile bicycle race for spectating (those people are crazy!). Checked radar weather on my smartphone and could see the storm cell would pass.

After the rain, rode north to Reddish Knob, passing a couple hundred bicycles on the way (really, not exaggerating). The bikes climbed within a few hundred vertical feet of Reddish (those people are crazy! RESPECT!). Reddish was mostly in the clouds, and so was Flagpole Knob. But it was a nice ride for sure.

If somebody else would be willing to forward it, I would be eternally grateful!
