I just had to deal with that! This is one bird coming off a C-5 last week. Our squadron is moving to Japan so here I am receiving the last of our MH-60S's

Easy load. That is a C-5A, which squadron moved you?

lol, you make it sound hard!, you got the airforce to fly you helo's, roll them and out on wheels, land directly at your base, what could be hard?

Me, I worked with freight forwarders, customs and finance in 4 countries, three languages, civilian, taxes, all to get an S76 here. And now to work on the process of getting it registred.
I think you got it easy....

That was our load when I deployed to Saudi Arabia with the 1/17th Cav in Desert Storm. Strangest part was all of us sitting above the cargo area at the base of the tail on the trip over. How many are still operational?

One of the stranger missions I flew when I was in the Army:
Flying the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders to remote outposts on the Macedonia / Serbia border. Ross Peroit had flown the whole lot of them over as a USO tour for the UN mission we were supporting. It was something to land at the OPs and have the girls scramble out and go into their dance routines as we were going thru the 2 minute cool down. For security reasons, the soldiers had no idea we were coming. The looks of absolute confusion on their faces was priceless. The smell of perfume in the Blackhawk was a definite bonus.

What's up with the white paint job?
Hey Ewe, the "loadmaster" unloading our birds was a complete idiot. I had to show him how to "walk" the tail sideways to stop the rotor head from slamming into the sides. We had our first batch come via Antanov and those dudes know what the hell they are doing. It took 2 hours to unload 4 birds versus the 6 hours for the AF to unload our last 5. The funny thing though is they stole a SMFD out of one bird. We are still trying to figure out if home guard took it put or it really did walk away during transit.

Personally I'm partial to the silver over black guys that bailed me out more than once.

Six hours? Holy crap, that is slow...

Shouldn't take more than two hours for six of them.
