Yea I knew you were down there but wasn't sure if GP or Arlington. If it reschedules, a pm will be on the the way.

One of my buddies is an instructor down in Florida, he said he simulated an engine failure for his student, but wasn't sure he liked his choice of landing area.

The student probably did it on purpose, the sneaky bastard.

Bristow in Titusville? Your choices are either swamp, gators or cows. Actually, it's pretty much one choice - a swamp, a cow and nearby, a gator.

Gives new meaning to the phrase "drive-in eatery"

Ha!
Yeah, he seems to like it there.
Decent gig I would imagine.

It's definitely a good way to bulk up your log book. I stuck my head in a few weeks ago, they've really spruced the place up in the last couple of years.

Flying is a bit of a bitch come July/August, though. Oy.

Nice shot there Kav. How do you like the new ramp mounted weapon? I did some R&D at PAX river back in 2003 on that system.

I liked the XM better, but the GAU is not bad once you learn it. The tail mount works well, but the door/window mounts for the GAU are too big, and not practical IMHO.

Finally!

After much running, testing, meetings, emails, phone calls,... got through MEPS and reenlisted in the WA National Guard!

The newest 15T, Blackhawk Repairer, is this grumpy old Marine! It'll be a little bit before I'm a Sergeant again even though I was one in the Corps, had to drop a stripe due to my long awaited return. Looking forward to gearing up again!
Maybe I need to change my "handle" to SPCMike for a bit.
