That could be Grafton, WV
But then again it could be so many places I have been in this part of the country.
Quite a few towns like that along Rt 250 going from Fairmont to Moundsville.
Places that used to depend on industries that don't exist any longer or have been drastically downsized.
I go thru these towns and can see what they once were, and what they are now. WV is a beautiful state, but sure isn't any place to make a good living.

Awesome thread. I drove through WV about 5 years ago on way home to MI from VA beach, Took me almost 3 days and I fell in love with it.
I long to return.

We did too. I did a week of Hatfield McCoy trails then the following year two days of road riding. Hoping to go back this summer for road riding/dual sporting

I grew up in WV and left about 23 years ago. It hasn't changed too much since I left. Every year I take a road trip and visit family that still lives there. Here are a few picts from some of the trips.

Kept meaning to get a picture of this old truck and feed crib when it was covered in heavy morning frost, but my fingers were too cold to work the camera. Warmer in the snow - go figure.

My dad was born about 2 miles from here and a couple of my uncles worked in this mine. Thanks for the photo.

You are welcome. I was born only a few miles aways also, at the old Beckley Hospital.

From a few winters ago on top of Bald knob, Canaan Valley, which is close to the Southwestern corner of Dolly Sods.

I really missed riding this year...

Got to get my act together on the GL1100 and get it on the road or scrap it for a older duel sport.

Lots of exellent ridding to be found in this state.
