New Touratech farkel: Touratech Companero

Ok folks, well, I admit, it's not "farkel" per se, but it's something new: Touratech will release their own adventure apparel. In corporation with Stadler, a German high-end rider apparel maker, they designed and make Touratech / Stadler Companero.

In general, I like the idea, that the rain suit (gore-tex laminate) would be worn as the first layer, unlike the common solution as the inserts.

I myself like it very much. The trouser could have more bigger waterproof pockets though.

What I hate it most is: the PRICE. With about 1750 EURO (jacket 1100 EURO and trouser 650 EURO), it's HEFTY!

Thumbs down 1100 Euro!!!

For that price I'd rather buy the new Klim super suit; which is actually made out of unobtanium

Well, the Klim is "made-in-China". The TT / Stadler one is "made-in-EU"

I'm ashamed to say I still have it, although I could have returned it for a re-stocking charge that in itself would have exceeded the realistic value of the bag. Touratech shipped it to me promptly, and for all I know would have waived the re-stocking fee, so I'm not throwing rocks at them. I'll just say some of their stuff exhibits a very high level of pride in the "brand"...

Other than the fact the Klim is 'Made in EU' priced and actually Made in China- the 1100Euro price includes 19% German VAT.
