You know, the last thing I want to say is no it isn't, but no it isn't. The assembly is done on the current batch and they are sitting in epoxy curing. While they cure I'm starting the assembly on the last batch of 'original orders'. Over the past 72 hours I've been at it for about 60, so it isn't for lack of trying.

Here's some good news. The two separate epoxy cure periods take 36 hours each, or used to take I mean. It was possible to make some adjustments to the potting fixtures so that the second epoxy step could be done before the first one had finished curing. That shaved 24 curing hours out of the 72 hours that it used to take.

I'm printing out shipping labels in a little while, and preparing the packaging. Final test and packaging is scheduled for early Tuesday morning

Talking Don't Rush Him!

Hey...everyone take a breath and stop putting the bum's rush on Poolside...

Better to give him room to get the assemble done correctly than push him into a too rapid to sustain pace.

Seriously, you will still survive without the ICE and then the COOL...our bikes are still very much available to be ridden...go for a ride and leave him alone...expect of course for sending in orders

Well shucks, Phil, thanks for the support. But I'm not inclined to implicate anybody in pressuring me to do anything. (Except maybe for Marketing, they really pressure me over there.) Seriously, anyone who knows me knows that's true beyond any doubt.

Besides, the nice folks have been waiting a long time. All things considered, with one or two exceptions, they're as nice as they can be. And I'm thankful for that I tell you.

I agree though, this pace isn't sustainable, not for long anyway. But it's all my doing. I want these out of here and into all y'all's hot little hands, so we can take steps toward bringing forth the IICE Cool.

Did you guys see the SoCal sunrise this morning? Beautiful!

+1

If he breaks his health getting these orders out he then won't be able to quickly shift to the next faze of the project and that means even more .

Poolside, thanks for your dedication (it's to be admired for sure) to this monster of a project.

I have not seen a report on gas mileage. Running richer usually means more gas.
Anyone have some tankful data before and after

Actually, my mileage is a little better. Up from 42 to around 44 mpg, based on about 2,000 miles ridden since installation, and I definitely push it harder than I did previously.

Go figure.

Other than the replies that people have posted, here's something additional...

The IICE Air does not make the motor run richer all the time. It only makes the air/fuel ratio a little richer during acceleration. It has no significant affect on mileage during cruise.

And like others have said, you are definitely gonna twist the throttle more!

Assembly report.

What the heck is going on?

I'll tell you, we're waiting for the second epoxy step to cure.

It looks cured, but it isn't.

You can dig your thumbnail right into it.

Everything is ready for bagging. My plan to shave time out of the epoxy cure process did not work as well as I hoped. So instead of being done at 9am, it will be done at 9pm. Until then, this is how it sits. Staged and ready.

I am pleased with the result...I find myself lugging more since the bike is pulling harder down low than before. Any timeframe set for the IICE Cool will go on sale
