Dakar Transport Available

Not sure if this is the right spot to chuck this, but I have space for two passengers, on the Dakar.

I'll be traveling as a journalist.I'm a motorsport journalist, I cover the Dakar for SBS here in Australia. I did the 'Deep In The Dust' blog on www.sbs.com.au/dakar in 2010. I will be again in 2011.

I am providing transport only. (Fuel is included).

You will need to provide your own accreditation and your own camping equipment.

We will be traveling to some of stage completions and to the Bivouac daily.

I will look at carrying luggage/tools for a team too. Vehicle hire, tripy (mandatory GPS unit), fuel and vehicle accreditation often runs up to more than $US7500.

I'm looking for $US2,500 for the whole rally for each seat. I can carry equipment too for a smaller fee.

Yep, that's the right spot; thanks for your great blog work last year.

Regarding your question: yes and thank you, I'll take a seat. Anyone wanting to cover my ASO accreditation and flight costs?

Thanks Gary,

For Skibum, yep, it's in the 1000's, and you do need to be aligned with a media outlet.

The cost for accreditation is because they supply meals, and a camping space and showers etc over the course of the rally.

Unfortunately, you also need to move pretty quickly, as media accreditation requests close this week/fortnight.

I posted this for my friend today, do you still have space?

2010 DAKAR RACE Looking for a seat on press or support veicle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am posting this for my friend Tibi,
We had plane to chase the upcoming 2010 Dakar Race, now I can’t go since I open a new business.
So he is looking for a seat on a support vehicle or press or maybe a travel companion, he is willing to pay is own way as well or share cost etc…
Our original plane was to ship our bikes from San Diego to Buenos Aires, and chase the race but now no more.
Tibi is open to any sort of plane, follow the all race or part of it, also willing to rent bikes or car to follow the race up close stay in hotels or camping or both.
If anyone as space in his car and is looking for a companion to travel or wants to rent bikes down in Argentina please reply to this message.
Tibi is very nice guy and fun to travel with, he speaks: English, Rumanian and Spanish.

Sure I will

Thank you for the quick reply,Tibi is racing Baja 1000 this week end, I'll make sure he gets your e-mail when is back from baja.
We were invited by Laurent Lazard to chase the race with some press passes for us, but noting was set in stone, so we were going to fly down and play it by ear, now I can't go. I hope works out for you guys, Tibi is very nice, and fun person to travel with.
