Took a buddy on a little New Years day dual sport. Started out on my new to me FE570 and put him on my Beemer then swapped later down the road, had to peel my FE570 out of his hands!

I would like to know what folks are running for gearing. Mine is the 2011 "S" model with stock 14/42 gearing and it's geared to the moon, won't pull past 95mph in 6th and the lil G450X will pull 104mph. I'm thinking a 13/45 perhaps will keep me from red lining but hopefully pulling 105 range???

Dig the white plastics, on the hunt for some myself!

If you call up Rekluse they will sell you the update slave cylinder kit so that you can adjust free play gain externally in the future rather then on the center hub of this pressure plate pictured.

Wow, 14/42! Im running 13/50, seems to be a good compromise. I have had it to 92mph on gravel, fast enough for me. My 09 came with 13/52 and first gear felt way too low. I tried 14/48, way too tall since I ride a lot of single track. Dropped to 13/48 and ran that for quite a while but found I never used the top gears. The jump from 5th to 6th is too big for serious racing, its more like an overdrive for cruising. Id like to have a hybrid trans with the close ratio 4 5 6.

Im too fat to keep up with a little guy on a KX500.

The only gripe I have with my BMW G450X is the wide ratio 5speed and the fact that there is no overdrive for the transits and I'm always checking to see if there's another gear. So far on the FE570 the 14/42 works great for the dual sporting around here with tight ATV type trail (not true single track) to doing 75mph on the interstate. However I bought the FE570 specifically for some Desert/Rally type riding and in particular RallyMoto here on the East Coast but I'm starting to think the gap from 5 to 6 gear may be an Achilles heel for sustained 90-105mph sprints (1-2 mile sections at a time WOT)

Yep, sounds like you would like the close ratio top gears also. It can be done with parts from the FS model. If you watch that video on the second pass I never clicked up to 6th cause it cant pull it. My size doesnt help matters.

did you try WFO in 5th?

Yeah I got it installed today. Wasn't too difficult and it feels pretty good. Stoked!

I used the soft springs and after pumping the air out of the clutch it worked great. I may get the adjustable slave later on to help with the fine tuning.

Will be hitting the dez again Saturday to try it out. On the topic of gearing, I'm very happy with 14/50 in the dez and should be even better now with the rekluse.

no I didn't and while I'm 220lbs my riding buddy is probably all of 160 at most and while he was in 6th and I in 5th on my G450X, I definitely out pulled him from 60 up, but then we dragged off the redlight and he pulled about 100' on me up to 95mph as he should being 60lbs lighter but then I started to gain as he was in 6th on the Berg. Think I'm going to try a 14/48 and see where that gets me. Already did the FMF megabomb with Q4 muffler and Euro comp map so Berg should be running pretty strong.

I geared mine up quite a bit for Sandblast a couple of years ago...the year I landed on my face It pulled the taller gearing pretty well and had a top speed somewhere over 100mph...though I didnt get a run long enough on the 450 to pull it. I need to drop her back down this spring.

Bit concerned here. Doing some inspection on my rekluse exp. 2 of the xrings, put in to reduce chatter are AWOL. The other 4 weren't in their place either. Not sure what went wrong. Clutch seemed to work great and never made a bad noise but the rubber washers all came out of their place. Now I need to find the other 2 in the engine

2 of them are on the loose. 4 were sitting inside the clutch basket. I'm not very happy about this. The 4 I have are in good condition. I'm not sure how they came out of position at all
