To be played in my home town..

Have a few concerns about this game.. I wouldn`t be surprised if this Test match gets washed out, we haven`t had a dry weekend for months..

Better do a rain-dance, quick.

I wasn't certain that some comments about the Perth Test being won by three Aussie players was fair but today it looks about right.

Bowled-out for 98, with 20+ overs left in the first day's play. Now England already on 147 for no loss with six overs left.

I take no great pleasure in the score because it's the sort of performance that England made a speciality for some years (well perhaps a little pleasure when I see Ponting's face ).

I think the England team is a pretty good team, but the Aussies are terrible. Quite simply, the worse team the Aussies have put out in many many years. I'll be honest, I'm glad they won the last test - a 5-0 drubbing by England would have been more down to the Aussies than how well England have played.

Best day for England in an Ashes test ever ? Botham's knock at Headingley may beat it but it's a close run thing.

The key thing is that there were only two Ducks in that score-card and both in the tail. Even the best batsmen are liable to score a Duck before they get sighted but once they've scored even a handful of runs, the odds are that a decent batsman will knock-off 30 to 40 runs. The score-card looks as though the Aussies were swinging at everything. That's one-day stuff, not full Test Match tactics.

Hard cheese Australia. That little (replica) urn stays in England.

On to Sydney now and a series win for England.

Awesome. England retain the Ashes by an innings and 157 runs. Fantastic, and the first time we've beaten the Aussies in their own back yard since 1956!

Well done England

To win 2 test in an Ashes series, in Aus, by an innings is simply amazing - actually I wonder if that's been done before

Roll on the final test, lets get the series win.
