next motherlode ride is 4/30/11
While negotiating the sweeping right hander on the marshall grade,
I was included in a clip by a fellow rider. In the clip's thumbnail, I'm right there next to a rocket 3 using the inside line. When you run the clip, I'm rider #5 and you hear the thumper's unique sound! Nutely Blue BSA Gold Star
My latest painting. My mates 1962 Gold Star Clubman 500, but this one is special because it is painted with Nutely Blue for the New Jersey distributors. Same colour as the Catalina 500s. Goldies were hand built and legend has it that this expense was a primary factor in the desmise of BSA.

I've had two Goldies over the years, and the carb was one of the very distinctive parts of the bike. It's just as important as the 190 MM front brake and clip-ons... It's a lovely representation of your friend's bike, but it's just too bad that part's not original.

Jow Ward collection
He are a few shots from my late uncle Joe Ward's collection. Joe was a travelling sales rep for B.S.A. importer Hap Alzina during the late 50s and early 60s and knew many of the key BSA personel in the US and England.

Thanks for the info.. it is hard to find true originals...so many of the classic bikes have a few bits and pieces on them that are not totally original....but we try. |

Only BSA I ever owned. It was made from a 58 Shooting Star with the aluminum head and the long reach spark plugs.

500 singled out
I'd like to re-introduce my bike to y'all...why not, I started the thread.
She's runnin' 8 discs in her supertrapp. Listen for her muffler sound here... (and her tappets) And here's some bridge crossings...a two camera shoot ![]() This was after traveling a good 80 miles to get to ellicott's crossing. And although I took the speedo off the bike back in the 70's, my riding buddies said I was going just over 90mph on the way there. Sorry I didn't do such daring stunts for the camera.
