I have an '03 KLR650 and an '09 Versys, and I love 'em both, but a marriage of the two would be far more than the sum of their parts.

BTW, don't think that e-mails, faxes, letters, petitions, etc. don't work, or that the US arms of the Japanese companies don't read every one and take them quite seriously. Just remember, that's how such bikes as Yamaha's FJR1300 and the XT1200Z Super Tenere made it here to the USA...

It doesn't hurt to ask. Worst they can say is "No".

Not sure "petition" and "demand" are the right approach.

A list of interested parties to show them the amount of interest in a bike like this might carry some weight.

RR - that is one awesome build - had considered that this would be a cracker of a conversion and someone has finally done it just right!

I am going a link to this thread to Kawasaki Australia right now!

When my KLE500 finally gives up the ghost, I am hoping that they will have one like this in production!!

Good work (and I think I recognised the location of one of the photo's - looked like a place we stopped to have lunch on the way to Whistler - by the lake?)

Thanks Ian. Which picture? My bike has not made it off the island yet but it will visit Whistler soon.

Cheers Ian __________________ ... just took the valve cover off the KLE500 to check the valves @ 76,000km - exhaust 0.001" tighter than spec; inlets just fine.... now that'd be a bee's dick??? ... was expecting 100K from this bike; now aiming for 150K ...
