Excellent build its giving me ideas to continue with mine- I especially want to do the front forks and the engine! I have been working on my 2005 KLR for a few years now - it is almost perfected for my use.

but you brought soem new areas to light that I missed.

Thumb Quality Work!

Repsolrider, A bit late to the party but I just wanted to add my congratulations to the long list! Your finished project is impressive and you did it yourself. Modded KLRs are a thing of joy, yours is epic!

As a former KLR owner, I have enjoyed reading along. I may never have another one, but sure do appreciate the work involved here. I thought I'd through out another comment on the horsepower race and the bigger is better thing. I have a Cagiva Elefant, with the Ducati Pantah 650 motor. So far, everybody has told me " why don't you put in a 900 Monster motor? It will bolt right in". Right, more wieght, worse fuel milage. just what I do not need. Another poster on this thread commented about a 650 Triumph. Possibly the 650 Triumph had a longer production run than the KLR, but that is just a guess and I am NOT trying to start an argument about it.
I really love what the folks here have done with thier KLR's.

Anything cooler or more fun than that would be illegal.

Congrat's.

As soon as I win the lottery we can discuss what you'd charge to build me one. I know there are lots and lots of bikes that are better than the KLR, but I've never found one with ergos that are more comfortable for me. Having one with that smooth twin . . . .

Same. I'm ready to have this done to my KLR RIGHT NOW. I'm pretty mechanical, but not even close to being able to do this on my own. Would probably be able to install the kit though, or at the very least ride it up to our shop and hand you tools while you do it for me :)

Please...

Spent a lot of time wishing I could put my VFR800 motor in the KLR. Then I would only have to have one bike. I really want "smooth and powerful". This would work!

...So I could probably ride it up to you this weekend...
