Use them both. Print the "Why won't you..." on the front so they see it as you approach to question them about it and "Please bring it..." on the back, so they see it as you walk away.

On the Front: Please bring the Tenere 660 to the US!

On the Back: Yes! I'm willing to pay $9,000+ US for it.

All I can say is.....YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

I like all the shirt ideas!! I'm partial to, Front "YAMAHA, why don't you.... Back; "Bring the XT660Z Tenere to the USA!!!" Then in small print; "Signed, coalition for more Thumpers for the USA!" OR, "Coalition for more worthy Adventure bikes in the USA!!" OR, "Coalition for people who'll pay $9,000 for a legend!!"

If your going to the Long Beach bike show....Hopefully you'll encounter the good dude I spoke to in San Mateo who claims he preaches up and down to Yamaha US to import the XT660Z!! Maybe you'll find a higher up who can give you some really good answers! I think with the S-10 and all the media printing going on with that bike it could be great tractions for our XT660Z hopes.......I'm still crossing my fingers!

Anyway, keep up the EXCELLENT work people!!

My signature number for this petition is 175 I am told.

I would really like to see this bike in person and spend some time in the saddle to see how much it could tempt me to put one in the garage.

Fair warning Yamaha if you are looking, I am not a strong person when it comes to motor bike temptations.

Another thing that puzzles me is why it weighs so much. According to the UK Yamaha web site it weighs 206KG, which is ~453 LBS wet. Now I realize a lot of people have unrealistic expectations of what an adventure thumper should weigh, but I would think around 400LBS or 181KG should be doable.

I am probably going to regret that statement, but this thing (according to manufacture wet numbers) weighs more than a KLR 650.

one reason you aint got many signatures is that the 660 aint all that good. its heavy, the fuel range is poor, its top heavey, the engine is under powered for the weight, but i respect your right to find that out for yourselves......just sayin

do you base that on what we have here in the US? and as much as I love my DR it's a 14 year model it's time we have a more modern design and is it any worse than what we have here now? and a duel sport is always going to weigh more than a true dirt bike, do you own one and are unhappy with it?

I'm with you open road, I would at least like a chance to try it.

I too had a DR 650 and it was great bike. Wish Suzuki would make a dual sport version of the RMX450Z and bring the dual sport technology into this century. But people still buy the DRZ400 so I guess they have no motivation to upgrade.

I don't own one but did check one out....fully! At the end of the day the new tenere didn't bring anything new to the table. In fact the spec sheet from earlier models is better reading. It does have a market but it aint gonna win anymore dakars (especially as they are now restricted to 450cc); that hasn't stopped yamaha from trading on the fame of a bike which past its glory days 30years ago! Is the ledgend bigger than the reality ....I think so.... others may disagree.

Yamamoto want quite a lot of cash for this bike and it dosn't even come with hand guards...for a dual sport ledgend thats a bit rich..er I mean poor. The KLR and DR are older now but are also tried and proven and alot cheaper.

IF its change your after the new triumph or even the F800 GS look alot more interesting not to mention the 690 ktm. (the bike I settled on). At he end of the day the Tenere will appeal to some people but don't expect too much from it is all.
