I'm headed down there in May for this:
http://www.norra.com/ with these guys: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=617607 (can you believe they are letting me go with them? ). I'd like to get together with you and your dad sometime before then to get some pointers, where I might find gas and ideas of places to camp.

To bad you can't make it to the meet up it's been a while since I've seen you. We're going to keep these going through the winter so I hope you can make one when you return from your fun in the sun.

Sounds good....The Mexican 1000 looks like a blast. Dad will be getting back from Mazatlan bike week the 1st of May, so the Yuma staging area is available. Would like to here more about your upcoming adventure.

Put me down for a rain check.

So is this next meet up officially our Spo/CdA Xmas Party? If so...we are may need to have our gift exchange like we did last year.

BGunn, thanks for the staging area offer.

Kootenai Rider, the regifting party will be in Jan. or Feb., you have time to find the perfect gift or to rewrap your toed socks.

There's a couple of moto shops in Hong Kong I was going to stop into while I'm there to see if there was anything cool that would make a neat gift.

Count me in for this O’Doherty’s shindig.

I wonder if someone should alert them of our plans? The staff at Fizzie’s appeared to be totally overwhelmed by just a few of us last week.

Anyone else get a ride in today?

Finally was able to get out for 35 minutes. The roads were wet but no ice. Light rain and fog all the way. The fog at times was really thick, especially near the Little Spokane River. Waved at nearly everyone I saw and got these really excited and happy waves in reply.

so, more rain and snow in the near future. At least now I now the new seat works perfectly. Precious is content to be wiped off and resting under a wool blanket in the garage. Gotta do this more often!

That sounds like a good time in my book!
Anyway I was out running errands on my KLX today. Only other dude on a bike I saw was a classic example of your greasey old biker dude on a Road King. He waved back so hes OK in my book

I couldn't wait to take my new-to-me DR650 out Saturday. 2-3 inches of ice on our gravel driveway and gravel county road, with just a bit of gravel on top here and there. I went about 2 miles before deciding this was just stoopid and turning around. Climbing the hill to our house when it was covered in ice was entertaining! Oh well, we kept it upright...it's staying parked until the ice is gone. Which it is now, with all the rain and warm weather...hope it holds for a bit.
