At least you got to try it!

Oh well, we kept it upright...it's staying parked until the ice is gone. Which it is now, with all the rain and warm weather...hope it holds for a bit.
This morning as I was making coffee (~6 a.m.) we had this freak thunderstorm roll through! Wow! It was raining in sheets. I even saw the clouds light up like lightning striking over towards C. d'A.

At least the streets are certainly ice free now. A little more rain, then cooler weather and snow in the future. Hope I can get out for one more ride today.

It would be fun to ride out on Sunday to see everyone, but think we'll have snow again by then. AND, I want to take Nanc with.

Sabrina, I'll leave Dillon to ride in the slush. He must have a gyroscope or something between his ears! I don't have the coordination to do that!

Rode down to Starbucks on Saturday morning and didn't find anyone there. Rode to work Sunday morning, back on Monday. Streets were wet, but no ice. Three blocks to get to an arterial were a little fun, but passable. Won't be able to make the 19th because of a prior commitment.

Another little ride in today

Rode down to the Petite Chat, a small bakery near Whitworth college. I will warn everyone that if you don't want to gain weight, don't go there! they have the best pastries and bread in town. The air is full of calories. Some weekend morning maybe we can do a meet and greet down there??? I know, let's wait 'til spring.

The weather this afternoon was perfect for riding. Rode some of the back country asphalt on the way home. Was surprised not to see any deer or those danged turkeys! If felt great to have the sun in my face.

That sounds like a yummy place to have a meet up but doesn't sound like it can accommodate 10 - 20 people sitting together and visiting. Perhaps in the summer if they have outside seating we could check it out.

There are a lot of great places in the area but not many where we can all sit together and visit over a meal. Keep your eyes open for good places with the room to put us all. Come summer finding places with outside seating is a plus.

How about spring? It will give us a chance to get out and see everyone and their bikes before the snow melts off the high country. Bars are great, but I don't like to drink and ride; I'd rather get fat and help lower my center of gravity. You're right about seating though. 20 people would pack their place. We could do as Dillon suggests and get a pastry and a cup of joe and chat in the parking lot!

It doesn't look like Sunday will be a good day for riding to the meetup. http://www.spokesman.com/weather/

Bummer. Hope to see you anyway.

Theres only a 40% chance of precip, that means theres a 60% chance for the ride not being totally insane!

Depending on the weather...

I just might try riding out too. The Dakar needs some exercise, and Nanc has a church function, so can't make it.

Hey, anyone else remember that old song "Go little Honda, go little Honda, you meet the nicest people on a Honda."? What was that, '60's , 70's? That's right, Dillon's dad probably wasn't even born yet, hee hee.

I may not be able to make this meet up. Through a lapse in judgment I now owe the county $124...

I'll cover the f & b cost for ya Dillon.
It would suck if you were not there.
