Wow, that's an incredible service. I had no idea they were doing that. Got a buddie's 50th @ T-line next month, staying in Silcox for the night.

Seems the day's of dropping into the Silcox for a brew are long gone? It always seems rented out for private parties this season. Sure its a nice $$ maker for T-line. Should be awesome Wachs. That is a sweet spot on Mt Hood with killer views and very private.

The cat is just a first come, first served type of ride. If the cat is running, line up about 10:30am right off to the right of the top of the Mile and right between the chair and the silcox hut to get the first ride up. You need to lay your skis/board down between the poles to secure your spot. 12 skiers per trip. It's not hard to find. Enjoy!

Yes, Silcox is not like the days when we'd bivvy in a snow-filled stone building. It's fun to stand out there with a cold one, watching all the climbers trudge by at midnight.

Will look for the cat, thanks!

I can't wait to get up next week and make some runs down the Glade Trail! It's spits you out in Govy right on the same street our cabin is on!

That is the best ride on Hood! From the Top of Palmer to Govy via the Glade is about 7 miles one way

You can use a second car to get back up, or just walk a bit and thumb it back up on Tline road

Spent friday and saturday on a father/son backcountry trip up at 3 Creeks Lake yurts.

Nice weather, tons of snow and a decent tour with the guys:

Go BLAZERS!

Unless we get some 90 degree weather, it's gonna be awhile before we're riding bikes up here!

Looks like a great trip, Dave!

Very jealous, but happy to be able to hobble around again without crutches.

Last two weekends at Meadows, this coming one and the next.

They are done with weekdays after last weekend.
Lots of snow, but apparently there are very few skiers are bringing money

I gotta get one more good day in up there, though....
Last trip it rained, and the bar got some money from us.

My daughter and I may be doing Meadows Sat or Sun the 14 or 15th. She is out of college and didn't get to ski much this year.

Will it be a snowcone?

NEW SEASON ! - time to resurrect this thread -

Not a ton of snow yet but once you figure out the difference between the pine cones and the rocks, it's still fun to ski !

Nice pic Wachs! We just got up to Mt Hood this afternoon! The snow is finally flying! Can't wait for some fresh snow finally after 2+ weeks of dry skies and sun in Dec in the PNW! Hope the jet stream returns soon! Have fun!
