Never understood California riders that talk about a "riding season". Or the year rounders here that think the mountains are off limits this time of year and stay on the coast. Without much snow at all Tioga Pass (in Yosemite) reopened after a wind storm this week and I had to jump at the chance to ride it this late in the year. Just awesome.

That is exactly how I felt. I looked at all the pix and ride reports over the past couple of years (as I tried to find time to get my French motorcycle license, which is an adventure of its own...). What nobody mentions on this site, however, is that buying the bike doesn't all of sudden give you a bunch of free time to go ride! Life goes on much as before, though now we don't have to be jealous any more!* I love my 2012. Ride it every minute I can.

* Note: it is still possible and OK to be jealous of Desert Dave's rides through some of the most beautiful passes anywhere.

I love reading about all the great rides on here. Heck, I did one of them myself with my wife back in '08-'09 for 13 months so I know how great it is to live on the road. Nowadays I am happy if I can get out at least once a day, even if it's just to ride to the store or for any other chores but I also know that in the future my Wee and I will be doing some big rides again.

One of the very few bikes I've seen with the same front mud guard (fender) that I have. Had to change it when I went to TKCs for clearence. Also the original front mud guards look doesn't fit the bike.

This is mine on Imogene Pass in CO. Luckily there were 4 wheelers behind us with a winch. Started to rain right after this so better judgement won and we went back to Ouray.

Those are both spots along the Sandwich Notch Rd. I wanted to explore that little road/path in the second to last picture but the flakes were beginning to fall and I was a long way from home.
