How does the height of the knobs compare to the TKC? Looks pretty close from the pic. Was gonna say what's up with the width.. then saw the text below your pic. yikes????????

It looks even bigger in person. It is at least a full knob wider than the TKC . And stiff sidewalls? Good God. Nephew#1 at 260lbs put his knee on it and tried to compress it. Yeah, right. Didn't happen. It wouldn't budge.

Hmmm. Mounting this thing could be a show.

Knobs look good. I'm thinking dirt/gravel - good to go. Street? Not so sure. I do like the groove down the center knob.

so is the fit going to be an issue on a GS?

looks like a lot of tire for the $$, unless it wears away like the TKC.

I may not be the mileage tester Kenda wants for this new product. Poor bastards. lol. My guess is I'm gonna melt it like it was made of butter. But we'll know soon enough.

Well, the front was fairly easy to mount. The rear? Not so much. It whupped us. Taking it to town tomorrow to let the pros tackle it.

is there any indication that when mounted the tire will be less wide?

I ask, although if it mounts wider, I think that might be a good thing anyway, although if it is wide enough i wonder also if guys with the factory muffler wont have cleaance issues.

waiting.... waiting.... waiting...

when its mounted, can you measure the section width?

Yeah. I'm thinking so. It'll fit.

Were you trying to mount it with spoons?

Yep. The nephews are really big boys. ;) Before this the toughest tire for them was my K12LT tires, but they say that was a piece of cake compared to this beast. We own a Harbor Freight changer but it just sits lonely in the corner. They'd rather wrestle the tire on using arms legs and their teeth. ;) The front was easy for them. They run Tourances and TKC's on their bikes and do it with spoons all the time.

Taking in to my local independent shop later this morning.

I just ordered a set yesterday from SWMoto and they shipped today. I haven't been defeated yet with my bare hands and my No-Mar...I guess we'll see in a couple of days.

Did they 'heat' the tire first? I found that without letting the tire sit in direct sunlight for a few hours prior to mounting there was absolutely no way it could be mounted by hand on the GL1800...... which people confirmed is far worse than the K12LT......
