Hi, now you've got me confused.
You keep on saying about the ten years guarantee on your waterproof membranes. BUT I have contacted my dealer about a leaking membrane in a venture jacket, and in his turn he contacted spidi and their response was that they cannot cover for more than two years. Moreover they say that they do not sale any spare parts.
So? what is the situation? I must stay just with the external shell of the jacket and buy another waterproof jacket (in this case probably I won't buy spidi again), or it is just a misunderstanding between me, my dealer and spidi?
Thank you very much

Bottom pockets in movie version go till end of jacket, in Spidi web page there is mesh area below the pocket.
Also zipper seem to be diffeent.

Has the product been changed?
If yes, could you put some light on when and what has been changed?

Best Regards,

The correct version is the one on the videos. The photo on our website are of a pre-series Multitech, which has been improved before its launch on the market.
In all the shops you'll only find the same as seen on youtube.

Gotta change those pics.

Hi Matteo,
I donn't know, if you remember my questions. I am the person, who complained a little bit on too wide sleeves in Multitech Armour XL I had bought. I wrote, it would be good to have 2nd velcro below the elbow, like in many jackets.

I met a friend, who also is using Multitech Armour XL and... Our jackets are slightly different.
His sleeves seem to be tighter, enough tight for me. The elbow protector is not moving, like in mine jacket.

What I also observed - he has different elbow\shoulder protectors, slightly softer and with holes, like on SPIDI web page.
And mine jacket has slightly thicker protectors and without any holes, like in this movie, minute 3:28:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCfCDKj-V-o

How it looks? I am feeling more comfortable in the friend's jacket, mostly because elbow protector is on its place, not moving on sides easily - like in my version. Any comments? Would picture of both jackets help?

Best Regards,
Jerry

Biomechanics are harder then Multitechs giving more sliding freedom in case of crash, but offer a similar level of impact force absorption.
Multitech Armor is very often used for adventure touring expeditions, it's our first choice for very hot climates.

If you rather want a pressure jacket, go with our Defender series, which feature Biomechanic protectors all around the upper body and is suggested for dirt rides.

Matteo,

Whats the best light-weight jacket from Spidi that can be worn over the Defender pressure jacket. I want one that has no armor in it and which can fit a neck brace. Can I custom order one from Spidi on-line ? Something that looks like this. Need not be the same color though.

Hi Bayarearider,
for your kind of use, the best solution is the Raider Tex jacket.
http://www.spidi.com/eu/eu_en/textil...ts/raider.html

It's an outer shell for enduro and dual sport use, taylored in Cordura, Flex Tenax area on the shoulderblades and armpits.

In addiction can be equipped with the Rain Chest waterproof and breathable membrane, avalable here: http://www.spidi.com/eu/eu_en/motorc...ain-chest.html

Hi Psaxioti, how are you?
As I wrote on the other message, I confirm that we guarantee our H2Out membrane up to 10 years. I also contacted my collegue on the headquarter to have their confirmation on this.
I suggest you to insist with your local dealer to return this membrane, in order to solve this problem.

Thank you for your attention,

Hi Jerry, how are you?
The difference you've noticed are irrelevant and minor changes applied to the elbows protectors of your Multitech armor. Of course they are still fully EN 1621-1 certified protectors and nothing changed in the overall safety and comfort of the jacket.
In order to always offer the best solution to our customer it happen sometimes to have minor changes on products; all the latest Multitech armor coming in stock are equipped with your same version of EN 1621-1 certified protectors on the elbows.

Thank for your interest,

Dear Matteo,
thank you very much for your reply.
Unfortunately it seems there is no solution. I have the original mails (of some months ago) along with the ones of today between my dealer and spidi. Your colleague Linda Di Martino (it seems she is the contact person of my dealer) insists that spidi cannot do anything about the waterproof membrane and my only solution would be to buy a new rain chest.
Of course that would be a solution but first of all, to my understanding rain chest cannot accommodate the thermal liner of my jacket, and second I dislike the probability that every two years or so I will have to buy a new rain chest just to have a waterproof jacket.

If you think there is something that can be done please inform me, otherwise unfortunately I will have to buy a new jacket.
Thank you very much.

Dear Psaxioti,
probably there is a misunderstanding. We guarantee our H2Out membrane for 10 years; this warrenty doesn't include damages to the membrane made my the customer, or caused by an accident.
Is this your case? If the membrane has been ruined by the customer, of course it won't be covered by the warrenty.

Otherwise, if the membrane doesn't show any visible damege etc, I invite you to go back to your dealership and ask him to send back the membrane to SPIDI. We will immediately replace it.
I talked with our customer service and they are aware of your situation, so it's all about the dealership to provide this service to you.

Can you please tell me where do you live exactly?

Ergo 365 suit

Hi,

Just got my suit. I really like the flexibility and safety and looks. One issue I discovered though, is that the pants don't fit over my boots. I ride with full mx boots, Gaerne SG12 and the pant leg is not big enough to fit over. Only option is to ride with the pants in the boots. Not so good for rain. :(

Any plan to have wider circumference pants??

Thanks,

Morten

Hi GooseRider,
it's hard to tell if I don't know what suit you got .

Anyway, my buddy is riding his 990 Adv with motocross boots inside Spidi Ergo Pro Pants without any issue.
