You have a '12 and have been riding the '04 all spring?

"All spring" is kind of a relative term for us.We had snow until a couple of weeks ago.I have been driving 6-7 hours south to ride.

Just rode the bikes...

Based on jse comments, got the 2002 Pro chassis for the quicker steering and magnesium engine cases. The chassis was only made for 1-year and is a odd mix of parts.

Complete rebuild of engine top and bottom end. Installed S3 225cc kit, S3 Stars cylinder head with high-compression insert, and GasGas UK flywheel weight. Rebuilt waterpump, and upgraded clutch to 2006+ specs. Modified FMF Turbine Core 2 from my GasGas EC300 to replace stock silencer and add spark arrester. Replaced Comex radiator fan and Leonelli module. Removed lighting harness and installed kill switch

Revalved Sachs rear shock (2-stage compression and rebound) and changed spring rate. Installed shock upside-down. 4mm preload. Regreased rear linkage and swingarm pivot.

Installed Formula 'Factory' forks with GasGas anodized Ergal triple clamps. Installed ProTaper Hi bend SE handlebars with ProTaper Medium compound grips.

Completed restoration of 1995 JT35. Put a full set of NOS body work and '2-lens' headlight in storage. Replaced the Pirelli Gara Trials with Dunlop D803. Installed Renthal handlebars with Renthal Trials grips. Replaced fork fluids, and coolant. Running Maxima 75W transmission oil.

This JT35 may have an interesting history if built by Jon Stoodley AKA jse for Steve Darrow for the World Championship. Has cylinder head mods, and Keihin PWK carburetor.

I had an opportunity to ride with 2 expert and an intermediate riders today. They worked me till I was too tire to ride anymore. Hopefully I remember what they taught me when I have a chance to ride again.

NOICE!

I have a 94.5 that was Jordi's brothers bike used in the US during a world round. Can you tell me more about the NOS body? Where can I find a front fender and tank cover? I have a new rear fender and would love to replace the plastic.

Try Jim Snell @ http://www.trialspartsusa.com/ . GasGas is only required to maintain support for an expired model for 10-years. Jim and Tim are the primary source for parts for 90's Gassers, exceeding the inventory of GasGas in Salt.

Tony, why not try Danny? I ran into Raymond last night at a love`s truck stop. Damned if he recognized me right away! You did hear he had a stroke?

Dragged out Miss Bitters' 315R and NMTrailboss' 315R out for a bit of fun out at SanYo today. Boss' 315 was easier to get out of my garage than my 4RT, and it had not been run in a while, so it went along -

Miss Bitters lofting the front wheel from the "kicker" to the obstacle. Nice work!!

Me working out NMTB's 315 -

Not bad for a few hours of fun!!

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

Cool2 Club comp in Otago.

We had a little club day. 5 sections and 4 competitors. Damp grass, soft soil, slippery rocks, but fine and sunny.

I rode a bit better than last outting but still managed to lose contact/control of bike 6 times, (off the back once, over the bars three times...) but happy to have spent a decent amount of time outside my comfort zone.

The conditions also confirmed that my Pirelli 43s are just too hard (DOT certified) as with letting increasing amounts of air out of rear tyre, and with conditions under-foot drying and getting more firm, the tyres (in new condition) still had a lot less grip than the other guys who were riding.
