Went to a classic trials yesterday the last section was kind of on - off, you did it or you failed completely, deep silt sand like stodge, up hill with in a 45° curve and when you manage to get up you immidetly had to turn left towars two two deep water holes too deep to go thru so you had to circle around them in S shape very carefully but still with enough speed. Even placing a dap was difficult ...

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

Bought a 1982 Montesa Cota 349 today - it's in Mint condition. I know the cut-off for AHRMA Trials events is 1979 model year but is there any way to request a waiver?

Or Trials Inc. Vintage Cup!

Vintage Cup
Rules
The Vintage Cup series will follow
Trials Inc.
rules
.
The following rules are specific for
Vintage Cup events
Twin Shock

Only
motorcycle may enter that
have
all of the following:
1.
A shock present and functionally providing suspension on both sides of the
swingarm which supports the rear tire (twin shocks).
2.
Air cooled engine
3.
Drum brakes
4.
Cable clutch
Section layout

Difficulty level of the section obstacles should be comparable to TI’s
Intermediate line, the turns however could challenge a
more experienced rider.

AHRMA is totally lost. ITSA or even the NATC national twinshock class allows your model year.

My old Cota`s had auto chain lubers in the swingarm. That is the first auto disc luber I have ever seen!

I rode my Scorpa for the first time in a couple of months yesterday. Combination of several factors has kept me off of the bike for a while. Took my 10 y/o daughter riding and worked on sections for my club's upcoming event. As usual, I forgot all about pictures except for one or two. Here's my favorite:
